Prithviraj’s
career choices generally defy explanation. In one magazine, there was a report
that he had acted in nearly at least half a dozen films in Malayalam last year.
But the actor is pretty keen on pursuing more opportunities in Hindi.
A
few years ago, he attempted to do something in Tamil. That was understandable because he had made some very powerful enemies in Malayalam film industry and he wanted things to cool down a bit. He did act in a few
films in Tamil. There was a considerable female fan following for the actor in the state.
But then, just when it looked as if he was going to become a big name in Kollywood,
he went back to Malayalam. This time around, he chose not to mouth any brilliant
quotes (I think "Superstars don't know English" was an exception) and it looked as if he was getting back to form. Instead of
strengthening his hold in Malayalam, the actor has announced that he intends to
pay attention to Bollywood.
'Aiyaa' - Prithviraj's debut film in Hindi - Couldn't bring myself to watching the film after seeing the posters - Rani Mukherjee with her finger-in-the-mouth pose (okay, it was chew-the-fingernail-cutely pose, actually) ... yikes!
