Asin loses ‘Thuppaki’ remake race

Whenever Murugadoss makes a hit film in Tamil, he immediately remakes it in Hindi. ‘Ghajini’ was his previous Bollywood venture. This Diwali, in Tamil, he made ‘Thuppaki’ with Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in the lead. The film was in trouble for hurting minorities’ sentiments, but it worked at the box office. Now, Murugadoss is remaking the film in Hindi with Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Asin had worked earlier with Murugadoss in the Tamil and Hindi versions of ‘Ghajini’. She had worked with Akshay in two films too, including ‘Khiladi 786’. There were talks that the actress was doing some PR works to net the new remake offer.

But fortunately, Sonakshi is going to play the female lead.

Asin could use this opportunity to get her glow and charm back and bring in a new stylist. Those costumes, that caught-in-the-cyclone hairstyle which was making the head look too large for her shoulders – about time she did something.
