There is more to being a woman than just breasts. That
said, it was with a sense of disgust that I read this news article about Miss America contestant Allyn Rose's plans to undergo double mastectomy.
A
big round of straight-from-the-heart applause to fathers around the world who
take a courageous approach to deal with their daughters’ cancer predisposition
instead of talking/scaring them into getting their perfectly healthy organs
amputated as preventive measure.
`Well
then you're going to end up dead like your mom.'
Great
job, Dad!
It
is surprising how all the male members of this contestant’s immediate family (dad
and brother) are hell-bent on getting her breasts removed. Just curious but
will they all be that eager and enthusiastic had this been a gene that makes
them particularly predisposed to testicular cancer?
Hmmm…
now, who were those people who called this a publicity stunt?
