Belated mini-review of ‘Skyfall’

The poster of 'Skyfall'.
This is not the first Bond movie that I had seen, but this is the first time that I wanted to watch the film over and over again. It looks as if austerity measures have actually worked wonders for Bond. The dialogues were simply brilliant. Daniel Craig is the best thing that had happened to the franchise. Bardem was wasted in his role. Judy Dench was fabulous as usual. The series would miss her sorely.

The gadgets – radio and palm-print activated gun (no exploding pens this time) – were easy to comprehend and very believable.

In spite of it all, one couldn’t help but get a feel of watching a low-budget psycho-thriller.
The problem however is that if the story is going to proceed along these lines, then next time we might have to watch Bond fight with casurina sticks.
