Belated mini review of ‘Dabangg 2’ (Hindi)

The poster of 'Dabangg 2'

Finally, I saw ‘Dabangg 2’.

The best thing about Salman is – he knows what he is good at and tries to not overdo the experimentation thing. This is one reason why he looks completely at ease. Chulbul Pandey, with his macho mannerisms, flamboyant dialogues and stiff-but-graceful dance movements (suits the tough cop image) entertains.

Prakashraj – the voice doesn’t quite suit him and his role could have been sculpted better. Still, he is better than most other villains of Bollywood. Each and every tissue in his body acts.

Sonakshi looks gorgeous in her saris and those knot blouses. Vinod Kumar, as Chulbul Pandey’s dad, is very charming.

Humour is very well blended in the narration, without sounding unnatural. Stunts – didn’t Akshay make a similar entry in ‘Khiladi 786’ – leaping jeep? Okay, I'm not sure which one came first.

But, the strange thing is – even if they had slipped in a few clips from ‘Dabangg’, the audience wouldn’t have noticed. The song visuals look very much alike, especially the item numbers.

However, one thing is certain - if there is 'Dabangg 3', the audience is going to love that one too.
